How We Build
|
Follow the Progress of PREFERRED HOMES under construction!! |
|
Preferred is an "Off-Site Conventional" builder. This means that your new home will be built to meet or exceed the International Residential Building Codes at our Albuquerque construction center for prices well below those of site builders in rural areas. All construction techniques and materials are the same as they would be on site. We only use licensed tradespeople. We do not use factory methods or unskilled workmen. The homes are individually constructed per your plans to approximately 95% completion in Albuquerque, then transported to your lot for finishing. |

Once at your lot the home is attached to a permanent footing and stem wall foundation built by us. After utility hook-ups are completed, minor finishing steps including stucco, tile grouting, concrete, and interior touch-up are finished and your new home is ready to move in!

After completion, there is literally NO DIFFERENCE between our homes and a home built on site. When Preferred homes are appraised, they will be evaluated by comparison to sales of other site-built homes in your area. They are NOT considered to be manufactured, mobile or modular and so most subdivision covenants will permit them. These homes qualify for standard mortgage financing and homeowners insurance
Preferred Building Systems personally invites you to enjoy a custom home that suits your individual lifestyle. Our professional design team will help you modify, customize and upgrade any Preferred home to fit your needs. From floors to ceilings to cabinets and fixtures, we can help you create the personalized look you want, whether contemporary, traditional, rustic or Southwestern.

OUR DESIGN AND PRICING PROCESS: Step
1. A Preferred Building Systems Site Supervisor
will meet you at your property to inspect where you wish to place your
home. This is called a "Site Check". In order to conduct a
Site Check we will need a copy of your deed, a plat map or survey of
your property and a deposit. We will also look at the route that
will be used in to deliver the home. This is very important as In some
cases it may be determined that the home will need to be delivered in
sections - this does not affect the quality of the home, but can affect
the design and price. On rare occasions it may not be possible to deliver
a home to your site. If this is the case you will receive a full refund
of your deposit . When we build directly on your lot (Albuquerque
Metro Area) we are not concerned with delivery but will need to assess
the lot for building suitability such as the slope, etc. |
